Puppies and Tanukies

Have you ever heard of a Tanuki?

We think Kacey must be a descendant from them. If she were brown, they would be identical. Especially when she puts her tail down like a wolf.
They're Japanese racoon-dogs. Whatever that is? Soooo cute.

Sometimes I call her Nuki for fun.

When she was a baby, she reminded me of a red panda.

Speaking of dogs. When we get our tall fence up this summer, Ken wants one of these little guys.
(they can jump over most fences)

A wippet. Preferably with light spots over the eyes like this.
Completely opposite from my taste in dogs. Very skinny.
I've always been all about the fluff.

Maybe one day in the future, I'll sneak one of these home.

And I'll name her Hachi.
(Japanese for Honey)

Those raccoon dogs are just like Kacey!! Where did you find out about them? I'm guessing Japan?

And I agree fluffy = better :) When it comes to dogs that is.

Ken was doing some kind of a search and he came across the pictures a while back. It may have been on a Japanese-ish website.
