Slacker Status
Things I am really bad at:
#1 Blogging in the summer (who likes to stare at a computer screen when its sunny out?)
#2 Blogging at all as a full time student, with a full time job, and full time hobbies... ugh
(like it wasn't obvious - this is my first post in what, a month?)
Things I regret:
#1 Not having time to play with my new Canon
# 2 Not having time or energy to cook/bake (especially fun in the summer), which I am missing so much!
#3 The weather being so hot and humid that its almost impossible to hoop outside
#4 Having to sell my ticket to Burning Man because of too many obligations (that will not get in the way next year, thankfully)
Things I love:
#1 Being able to hoop during school, as a part of my cardio workouts
#2 Fire hooping at night (when its cooler)
#3 Experimenting with tubing and collapsible hoops
#4 Thinking about the future, and all the things I WILL do, when I get my life back
(I will wont I??)
Things I'm ready for:
#1 Serving drinks to the crowd all weekend at Lollapalooza. Hopefully making some mayjah dough.
#2 Watching one of my good friends from high school get married
#3 September in General
#4 Turning 26 in San Francisco with my best girlfriend, and spending 3 days training with one of the best hoopers in the world.
#5 Fall clothes and not sweating 24/7
#6 Graduating from NPTI (with an A?)
#7 Maybe a trip to L.A. or Florida this winter? (If not, then definitely LA for LIB next May)
This weekend's madness:
(See, I really do have no life, I'm not even lying)
-Helping my sister pack up her truck to move to Nashville
-Celebrating my lil brothers 17th birthday with the family out in Rockford
-Freakeasy Precomp all night Saturday
-Preparing for a Business Plan Presentation
-Preparing for an Interview and Special Populations Fitness Exam
-Doing my laundry? Or so I call it "the mound"
-And a whole lot of other stuff that is not pleasant enough to mention
Movie News: (I know, you're dying to hear this)
Inception- Sucked - I am very well aware that my standards for movies have become well above the average. Again, I'm being serious. I almost fell asleep in the theatre, and NOT just because the Muvico seats are hella comfy. Suspense does not equate to a good screenplay.
Surrogates - better than Inception
Capitalism, A Love Story - Awesomely depressing
Man Vs Wild Season 1 - I was totally on the same page with the guy until he found a (days old) Icelandic sheep, cut out his eyeballs, tied them to his shoelaces, cooked them in Volcanic goo and ate them. I threw up in my mouth a little bit. Still a pretty rad show. And I am now super equipt to survive anywhere. Really, try me.
and finally.......
Things I promise:
To blog more often... starting..... soon?
