Time to write in my blog.
Just kidding. Actually, its time for spending between 5-10 seconds to determine what my New Years Resolution(s) will be.
Last year I was in no mood to waste a full 10 seconds figuring out my resolution. So, I decided I would just try not to get sick, or really sick, the entire year. Cus, I mean, who likes to get sick anyways? Not me. Nope. You guessed wrong.
So, I did my best, and it turned out ok. I think I only got one little cold and felt flu-ish for maybe a day or two. No swine flu for me though! I took good care of myself.

This year though, I think I'm going to invest a few more seconds into thinking about my resolution. I'll let you know when I think of one, cus all the good ones don't really work for me.
I can't lose 10 lbs (borderline underweight as it is)
I can't quite smoking because I don't in the first place
I can't vow to get in control of my finances because I already give advice like I'm Suze Orman.
I eat healthy, well, except for weekends between the hours of 1 and 4 am approximately (what you've never had Cinnamelts?)
I'm going for my dreams (plans in motion)
I'm putting full effort into my relationship
What else could I challenge myself to do?
Hmmm, maybe I'll just vow to take everything up a notch.
And take Kacey on more long walks. She really likes them, and I don't always make time now that they have the yard to run in. And I SUPPOSE I can always save MORE.
But I think most importantly, I just want to make sure that everything I have envisioned for myself, as far as accomplishments this year, go smoothly, if not well above my expectations.
-Hoop Girl Teacher Training Certification in March
-Cross Country Road Trip (including mountain biking and RVing across the Nevada desert)
-And of course finishing my year long school program by this time next year.
If all those go as planned, I will be one happy girl.
Speaking of school, after more than a year of talking about it, and blogging about it, I'm finally starting at NPTI Chicago on January 5th. I just had my orientation yesterday, got my books, a nice embroidered towel (heh), and met all the people I'm probably going to become very close with over the next year.
I don't know why it always seems to happen like this, but I think I am the youngest person in my class. Pretty much my entire college life I was the youngest person in all of my classes. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I take night classes so that I'm still able to work, and so I'm surrounded by people who do the same. I guess, I just figured there were more people out there my age who work 9-5's while they go to school.
Either way, I'm sure we'll all learn a lot from each other.
Just reading a few pages from one of my books on the train ride home last night was blowing my mind. To this day I've never had to take an anatomy class, in high school or college. So, it's going to be interesting to say the least.
Word on the street is that we start working out for 2 hours straight starting day one, and then get to sit for a lecture for 3 more hours each class day. Sounds delicious right? This makes me feel like I should be home running 3 miles a day to prepare or something. I suppose going to yoga for 6 weeks will have helped a bit, but I think I need to kick it up a notch in the next 2 weeks.
If I know anything for sure, its that 2010 is going to be a year for huge changes. Some I bring on myself and some from others that I am helpless to avoid.
Change indeed. It is in the air.
I really hope I can get a camera soon!
Me and cammy are gonna be attached at the hip :)
In other news, as we all know, Xmas IS just around the corner.
In attempts to make some cookies the other day, and as I took out all my ingredients and put the out on the counter, I realized we were out of eggs.
This was easily remedied by a quick trip to Costco with Mr J,
and when we came home, of course
Kacey had pulled a brand new bag of brown sugar off the counter and eaten about half of it, and abandoned the rest.
I can just imagine her thought process through the ordeal. Clearly she realized her mistake half way through.
She looked miserable, obviously.
I didn't know whether to laugh, or to worry. So, I did a bit of both.
I gave her some beans with a sprinkle of cinnamon, as they are good blood sugar stabilizers, and she got through ok, once she started throwing up all the sugar.
**I love that 50% of my posts involve my dog throwing up something she found in the yard or took off the counter.
I'd like to say this will be the last time she does something so stupid.
But, we'll see.
