Todays health fact.
...and/or recipe,
and/or tip,
(cus... (yes that is the way I say 'because') I think I'm gonna start posting more stuff like this in the future). Then I wont feel like I have to print them out/tear them out from wherever and add them to my research articles binder under the bed. There is pretty much no more room in there, and it is a pain to punch holes in paper on a regular basis.)
So here ya go: Take it or leave it.

"A study from the University of Minnesota found that regular coffee drinkers may be less likely to develop diabetes. The experts suspect that compounds and minerals in coffee beans may improve the sensitivity of insulin receptors and help the body process blood sugar more efficiently."
It is so weird that the time I want to drink coffee the most is between 5 and 10 pm.
I especially wanted some on the way home from taking my brother and his girlfriend out for 1.5 foot long pizza slices last night. Definitely not exagerating. I was shocked. And it is hard to shock me with pizza. This many carbs made me sleeeeeepy.
(not my actual slice, but that's how big it was)

But Ken denied me as I eyed the McCafe drive-thru. Oh, you have not heard of McCafe? It's the newest, most classy joint in town, people. I guess unhealthy food makes me susceptible to more of that sort of thing.
You should see the one that just went up in Des Plaines. It would put that green and white barn shaped restaurant in west Lake Forest to shame. Shaaaame!
The fast food joints here are like night clubs. Flashy with lots of neon lights. Really. We ooh and aww over them.
In more productive news...
I made two new hoops this weekend. Pics coming soon.
