I have no idea how long its been since I've written. Probably a good month?
Must have been that "end-of-winter-syndrome" that kept me away. Ya know the one that just makes you want to come home after work and hide under the covers until the grass is green again?
The last month or two has been filled with ideas for the future, but not much resulting.
Ken and I looked at a bunch of houses, even put an offer in on one, but we got outbid by someone who thought it was worth more than it really is. Sad for them, but also sad for us. If you're a Facebook friend you can check out a 10-page note/blog I wrote about the whole process. If not, the story ended in us deciding to stop looking and just put our money elsewhere for a while. Like, into renovations on our Maple house. Even though home prices are so temptingly low right now.
So, new fenced yard coming in Spring! Also 2 new remodeled bathrooms. That's the plan. Ken wants new gutters as well but of course that is not so exciting. Next year, 2010, we're gonna tear down some walls and restructure the living room, dining room/den, and remodel the kitchen. So that's where the money is gonna go, if not to my personal training school tuition fund, which again, has been put on hold. We're looking at October it seems.... so, 7 more months. I'm not terribly disappointed to wait. I really want to enjoy this summer. I want to enjoy every day so much that you'll have to drag me inside to go to sleep! Then I will be ready to hunker down for the winter and have school to keep me busy enough that I don't have time to complain about snow. Heh.
I don't have any good pictures to share lately. Also a result of the end-of-winter-syndrome. This spring/summer, I'm going to have my camera and or video camera ready for easy grabbing each minute of the day. Starting just as soon as the average daily temp is 60 degrees!

We never did find a fabulous bookshelf on craigslist, but I found one that was satisfactory somewhere else so at least we have had a place for books lately.
<<<-------There she is :D Maybe I'll take a photo of it this weekend. It is also "expresso" colored (must be a new favorite theme in my life, or just the new trendy way for retailers to say brown).
On Sunday I'll officially be 24.5. Time does go faster as you get older! I know that turning 25 is 6 months away, and normally I hate the idea of having to make a birthday list. But there's actually something I want this year! A new camera. Someting high-tech! But since what I want runs pretty expensive, it's probably going to have to be a gift to myself.
And as disappointing as it is to admit, I have FAILED my new years resolution. I finally got sick about 2 weeks ago. This ended in me losing my voice completely for over a week. I even had to miss two days of work because I couldn't imagine being able to talk to anyone on the phone. I don't blame my health maintenance though! I think I did a good job of supplementation and shortening the lengh and severety of my sickness. I was just bombarded by WAY too many sick germs in one weekend and that is what did me in!
Well, I'm off to go count how many days until we get an average high of 60 degrees around here.
Update: 39 days away :D

Since I last posted, however, I have done some productive purchasing. I got a new espresso colored winter coat with a fake (no real for me) fur lined hoodie to replace by big bulky black one that just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I bought that coat. Yes its warm but oh my gosh it is really rediculous.
I also broke my favorite pink and gold travel hoop,
(like the one on the left)

so I had to buy a replacement. Who knows maybe some day I will design my own travel hoop, and not just regular ones. I've got some other design ideas that I plan on bringing to life this spring as well. Definitely looking forward to that.
