Gettin' in that holiday spirit

Not to be Debbie Downer.... BUT...

I just read that a Wal-Mart employee in New York was literally trampled to death by a rabid crowd of psychotic shoppers at 4:30 in the morning this past Friday.

#1..... it's WALMART! If you're THAT crazed that you NEED to have a certain toy or whatever that is maybe 5 bucks off (when you could probably find it ONLINE for cheaper) you probably need to be on medication. What is wrong with people?

Apparently some of the crowd who trampled this poor employee upon shattering the entrance doors, (yes... breaking the doors) are going to get slapped with criminal charges.

I kind of think every single person in line should have been charged. That is unimaginable.

Honest to God if I saw someone go down in a stampede like that I would start kicking knees until I could help the person up. Just imagine being in that position. How scary to have no one try to help you. Some people are crazy animals, and when acting the part, should be caged accordingly. This is unacceptable and a sad representation of this country. Christmas is RIDICULOUS.

I think this says it all....

"A witness told the media that shoppers behaved badly even as the store was being cleared AFTER the death, “When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling, ‘I’ve been on line since yesterday morning. They kept shopping.” "

I'm not putting up a tree this year.

UPDATE IN HOLIDAY RETROSPECT:
I'm glad we didn't put up a tree this year, because now, I'm the only one who doesn't have to take one down! Ahahahaha. Genius! (Not a big deal to most people, but with Ken's and my track record of being too busy to take it down until at least March, I see this as a good judgment.)

Here are some pics of the 2007 X-mas decor in our living room to make up for it.
